Winglet turns your Android phone into a wireless second screen for your Windows PC. This page explains what data the Winglet apps (Windows and Android) and the getwinglet.com website process, and what they don't. In short: no account, no analytics, no tracking; your video and input only travel between your own devices on your local network.

What the apps do and where data is processed

Logs and “Report a problem”

For troubleshooting, the apps keep local log files on your device. These logs aren't sent automatically. Crash dumps aren't sent automatically either.

“Report a problem” works only if you ask for it: it prepares a report package that you share yourself. IP addresses in reports are masked by default. Pairing records, encryption keys and anything you typed are never included.

The website

Service providers

The site is served through Cloudflare's infrastructure; Cloudflare processes connection information such as your IP address to deliver the connection and protect against attacks. Emails sent to [email protected] are forwarded through Cloudflare to a Gmail (Google) account. These providers' servers may be located abroad.

Legal basis

Server logs are processed under our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure (KVKK Art. 5/2-f). Support correspondence and “Report a problem” reports are processed to answer your request.

Third parties

If you download the Android app from Google Play, the download is subject to Google's own privacy policy. We don't depend on Google Play Services. You download the computer app from getwinglet.com.

Your rights (Turkish KVKK)

Under Article 11 of the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (No. 6698), you have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed, to request information about it, and to request its correction or deletion. You can write to [email protected]; we reply within 30 days at the latest.

Because the apps don't send your data to us, in most cases there is nothing for us to delete; you can remove data on your devices from the app's Settings screen (remove a paired computer) or during uninstall.

Changes

If this page changes, we update its date. If the change is significant, we announce it on the site.
